concept.  Our tiny contribution is a farm, a family, dedicated to nutrition.  Nutrition for people, for the soil, for the

plants and animals we care for, but not just for that.  The nourishing power of fresh, delicious food unites people into

healthy relationships.  It unites people with the environment.  It is the substance of ritual.  We want you to feel the

empowerment of putting fresh, locally raised food on your table, to share with your friends, your community and

your family.

Farmer, George Brittenburg, began Taproot Farm with his family in 2009.  A dedicated farmer, he has spent many

years working towards the goal of owning and operating a farm.  His love of gardening combined with years of

experience on organic farms, both rural and urban, inform his farming sensibilities. He loves Taproot for the high

quality produce he and his co-workers grow, for the dedicated people who are regulars to the farm stand and CSA,

and for the satisfaction of spending his days working the trade he loves most.
